Gadsden Rotary club presidents pass gavel
Rotary President Velda Eugenias recently passed the gavel to Wilbur (Bubba) Masters, who will serve as the new president of Gadsden Rotary Club 4036 for the 2014 – 15 fiscal year. Carver museum opens

The Central-Carver Legacy museum at the Carver Community Center opened its doors to the public after about ten years of planning on Wednesday, July 2.
The museum, dedicated to Gadsden’s first African American 12-year public school, is housed inside part of the old Carver High School, which closed in 1971 because of integration.

Timeless Physicians Apothecary still Gadsden’s neighborhood pharmacy

Ms. Kathlynn Fadley first opened Physicians Apothecary in 1948 inside the Noojin Building on Chestnut Street when it housed nearly every physician in town and served as a one-stop shop for Gadsden’s medical needs.
While the now torn-down Noojin Building is only a memory for long-time residents, nostalgic Physicians Apothecary remains Gadsden’s neighborhood pharmacy.
