Johnson elected chair of SGA presidents’ council

Jacksonville State University Student Government Association President Brett Allen Johnson was elected Monday to serve as the 2014-2015 Chairperson of the University Student Presidents’ Council.
A native of Hokes Bluff, Brett Johnson is a senior dual-majoring in Political Science and Communication. Brett was elected SGA President at Jacksonville State University in March of this year.

The Alabama Entertainers Talent Co. competed June 17-21 at Panama City Beach in the Platinum National Dance Competition. Eight acts were chosen among five hundred to dance in the grand championship gala for the recreational junior and senior divisions. New Class Option at Gadsden State

Gadsden State Community College will offer a new history class Fall Semester that will cover the African-American experience from the colonial era to the present day. The emphasis will be balanced between local and national events engaging with local history and understanding how the events impact our daily lives and relations.

GSCC announces summer graduation

The Gadsden/Etowah Emergency Management Agency recently received the Large County Mitigation Award from the Alabama Association of Emergency Managers(AAEM).
