The annual American Red Cross-Talladega Superspeedway “Laps for Life” blood drive returns to Talladega Superspeedway on Thursday, Sept. 11, from 12 – 6 p.m. in the Fox Sports1 Dome at the International Motorsports Hall of Fame. ABC Trust provides energy efficiency grants

Youth Enrichment Program has successful year
Approximately 40 local youngsters participated in the 2014 Youth Enrichment Program of Attalla.
Sponsored by State Rep. Craig Ford, the program’s first field trip was a trip to the state capitol in Montgomery, where the youths met Gov. Robert Bentley. The group also visited the Rosa Parks Museum.
