Westbrook shuts out Glencoe, wins soccer area title
The Westbrook Christian girls soccer team won its first area title on Thursday (Apr. 9) with a 4-0 Class 1A-3A Area 6 victory over Glencoe at Weeks Field in Gadsden.
Westbrook (8-1-2, 5-0) will host a first round playoff match on April 28.

Noccalula hosts Smoke on the Falls this weekend

It is that time of year again. The Smoke on the Falls Noccalula Barbeque Festival will take place tomorrow, April 11 at the Noccalula Falls campgrounds in Gadsden.
The barbeque competition is sanctioned by the Kansas Barbeque Society.

Attalla’s Treasures in the Streets Antique Show will be held Saturday April 25 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. in downtown Attalla at 5th Ave. North west and 4th Street.
