The Westbrook Christian girls soccer team won its first area title on Thursday (Apr. 9) with a 4-0 Class 1A-3A Area 6 victory over Glencoe at Weeks Field in Gadsden.
Westbrook (8-1-2, 5-0) will host a first round playoff match on April 28.
Makenna Beard, Alexis Beard, Kylee Berndt and Barclay Bellew each scored a goal for the Lady Warriors. Makenna Beard also had an assist.
Goalie Mattie Loyd earned the shutout, which was Westbrook’s fifth straight and seventh of the season.
