Etowah students kickoff the Super Citizen program

More than 800 students from 11 Etowah County School’s participated in the Next Great Americans Bus Tour and Super Citizen Program Kickoff last Friday in the Southside High School Auditorium.
During the kickoff program, Libby Liberty, otherwise known as the Statue of Liberty, taught the children more about the statue and liberty.

September 11 tribute held in Gadsden

On Friday, September 11, a memorial tribute was held at the park in downtown Gadsden on the corner of 4th and Broad Street. About 150 people attended.
Gadsden Beautification Board Chairperson Kitty Pate welcomed everyone and introduced Gadsden City Councilwoman Cynthia Toles, who gave the invocation.
