Lions fall out of playoff picture after loss to CCHS

Gadsden City falls out of postseason race with loss to Hazel Green

Cole Guffey accounted for three touchdowns as Hazel Green claimed a playoff spot with a 38-33 win over Gadsden City on Friday (Oct. 16).

The Trojans improved to 5-3 overall and 4-2 in Class 7A, Region 4 with their fifth consecutive victory. Hazel Green will be the region’s No. 4 seed.

New bargain store opens in Gadsden

Bargain Hunt opened yesterday on October 15. The store is the fifth one of its kind to be opened in Alabama. 

Bargain Hunt is located in the old Hobby Lobby location at 401 George Wallace Drive. The store has 21,700 square feet of sales space.

The Factory hosts the Fear Factory

The Factory, located at 100 Thomas Drive in Gadsden, has become known as the go-to place for birthday parties. The facility hosts about 25 every weekend. Birthday parties cost anywhere from $100 to $300. The Factory is not just limited to birthday parties, though. The staff can handle any group, including sororities and church youth groups.
