Area runners compete at state cross country meet

Several local runners competed in the AHSAA cross country 5K state meet last Saturday (Nov. 14) at Oakville Indian Mounds Park in Moulton.

Two locals earned all-state honors after finishing in the top 10. In Class 3A girls, Westbrook Christian freshman Mary Reid Goodwin came in seventh out of 119 participants with a time of 19:57.91. Southside High senior
