The Coosa Christian girls basketball team didn’t disappoint its upperclassmen on Senior Night, as the Lady Conquerors posted a 52-35 win over Ragland on Tuesday (Jan. 26) in Gadsden.

Although the hosts maintained the lead from early in the first quarter, the Lady Purple Devils pulled within single digits with 3:38 left in the third quarter. 

Blue Devils beat Guntersville to set up coin flip

Glencoe hires Hokes Bluff grad Davis as football coach

Welcome home, Russell “Rusty” Davis.

At Thursday’s special called meeting of the Etowah County Board of Education, Davis was confirmed as the new head football coach at Glencoe High.

A 1985 graduate of Hokes Bluff, Davis has spent the last 24 years in various assistant coaching jobs at Smiths Station – a Class 7A school
