Area players recognized by AHSAA

A pair of Etowah High athletes were nominated for this week’s Alabama High School Athletic Association’s Prep Football Spotlight. Junior running back Caleb Horton rushed nine times for 95 yards and senior receiver Emil Smith Caught eight passes for 62 yards in the Blue Devils’ 14-7 win over Guntersville on Sept. 9.
