Local teams compete at regional volleyball tournament

Four area high school volleyball teams competed at the AHSAA North Super Regional Tournament last week in Huntsville.
In Class 2A on Oct. 21, Westbrook Christian defeated Mars Hill Bible, 25-19, 25-16, 22-25, 25-14, before losing in the quarterfinals to Winston County, 25-15, 23-25, 21-25, 18-25. The Lady Warriors finished the season with a 39-6 record.
In Class 3A on Oct. 20, Glencoe lost to Plainview, 21-25, 26-24, 13-25, 25-16. The Lady Yellow Jackets finished the season with a 16-18 record.
In Class 4A on Oct. 21, Sardis lost to Leeds, 14-25, 7-25, 25-18, 18-15. The Lady Lions finished the season with an 18-19 record.
In Class 6A on Oct. 21, Southside lost to John Carroll Catholic, 13-25, 21-25, 15-25. The Lady Panthers finished the season with a 31-16 record.
