Even though Gadsden City lost its first region game of the year last week, the Titans remain right in the middle of the hunt for first-round home-field advantage in the playoffs.

A victory over Clay-Chalkville would go a long way toward possibly bringing another team to Gadsden in Week 11.

In fact, a win tonight (Oct. 12) puts the Titans in a tie for first place with Clay and the winner of tonight’s game between Huntsville and Pell City.

A loss tonight puts the Titans at a disadvantage down the stretch, as they would have to win out to host in the playoffs. And it’s still possible for Gadsden City to be sitting at home for the first round.

Oxford is in a position to edge out the Titans, if the Yellow Jackets win out and Gadsden City suffers another loss or two.

To compare statistically, the Titans are scoring at a clip of 28.5 points per game and giving up 24.3.
Clay is giving up only 14.5 points per game and is scoring 42.2.

Last week against Pell City, Chris Lawrence finished with 112 yards rushing on 11 carries. Trevor Sandridge added 75 yards on 11 carries.
