Yellow Jackets fall to Geraldine

Glencoe closed out its Class 3A, Region 6 schedule with a 49-27 loss to Geraldine on October 21.
The Bulldogs built a 28-0 lead before the Yellow Jackets got on the scoreboard when Aaron Mann (pictured above) broke free for a 72-yard run to Geraldine’s 8-yard line. A personal foul penalty against the Bulldogs moved it to the 4-yard line, from where quarterback Nolan Fairley scored on first-and-goal. Gavin Bray hit the extra point with 6:34 remaining.
Fairley’s 1-yard TD keeper with 42.3 before halftime pulled Glencoe within 35-13, while Mann’s 1-yard touchdown run with 7:33 to go in the fourth quarter trimmed the deficit to 42-20.
The Yellow Jackets’ final score came on Cooper Horton’s 3-yard run with 1:59 remaining in the game.
Mann finished with eight tackles.
Glencoe (2-7, 0-7) finishes the season this Friday (Oct. 28) at West End.
