Keep Smilin’ with Rosie Preston – You say it’s your birthday!

By Rosie Preston

Can it be true? In just a few days, I’ll celebrate another birthday. I don’t feel any different.

That’s not entirely the case. I looked in the mirror the other day and counted the lines above my upper lip. I’ve been told that each fine line represents a person in my life who is very special. And I’m good with this age.

For example, while at my granddaughter’s house for Christmas dinner, I found that I was able to sit in a chair and let everyone take care of me. That is a definite advantage of being a senior citizen!

Allow me to tell you what a friend of mine recently saw on a television talk show. A lady was introduced who’d had a facelift performed by a plastic surgeon, comparable with my recent acupuncture facelift. My friend made the decision to drive three hours there and back for 10 treatments that lasted one hour each. She had very acceptable results.

If you happen to see me out and about, you will see my fine lines are still there. However, I managed to count every line, and the total was equal to the number of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren I have. Just remember that I wear them like a badge of honor!

This year’s birthday is especially blessed because I do love my family more than words can say!

Keep Smiling, Rosie
