On Thursday, Sept. 10, local cross-country teams faced off in the 2026 Southside-Rainbow City Invitational race at the Vivian Maddox Sports Complex in Rainbow City. The rankings for the boys were as follows:

5^th – Conner Christopher, SO at Southside-Rainbow City (17:24.67)

6^th – Joseph Minkin, SR at Westbrook Christian School (17:29.54)

8^th – Carson Thacker, 8^th grader at Southside-Rainbow City (17:40.21)

9^th – Colton Mikle, SO at Southside-Rainbow City (17:48.27)

12^th – Levi Kay, JR at Southside-Rainbow City (18:18.22)

13^th – Alex Melo, SR at Southside-Rainbow City (18:18.40)
