On Thursday, Sept. 10, local cross-country teams faced off in the 2026 Southside-Rainbow City Invitational race at the Vivian Maddox Sports Complex in Rainbow City. The rankings for the girls were as follows:

11^th – Sarah Ponder, SR at Hokes Bluff (22:40.64)

12^th – Sara Davis, 7^th grader at Southside-Rainbow City (22:58.37)

13^th – Khloe Bujan, 7^th grader at Southside-Rainbow City (22:58.71)

14^th – Kylee Noles, FR at Hokes Bluff (23:40.79)

16^th – Madelyn Chandler, SR at Southside-Rainbow City (24:04.07)

17^th – Emma Franklin, SO at West End High School (24:14.35)

20^th – Lee Miller, 8^th grader at Hokes Bluff (24:23.82)
