Despite a big win last week against an archrival, Glencoe coach Lee Ozmint was still disappointed in his team’s effort and he still sees plenty of room for improvement.

“I try not to look ahead but I do know we need to im-prove if we’re going to win down the road,” Ozmint said.

As far as the Class 3A Region 6 standings are concerned, the Yellow Jackets are in the catbird’s seat in having beaten Wellborn and Piedmont.

An early playoff berth could be clinched with a win this week, but Ozmint isn’t worried about that. He just wants another victory.

As far as Ashville is concerned, Ozmint sees a hungry team that has all the tools to win.

“They’ve got a good quarterback and four or five good tailbacks,” he said. “A big line and a lot of speed. They’ll be trying to knock us off, for sure.”

Against Hokes Bluff last week, Thomas Ozmint rushed 33 times for 255 yards and two touchdowns and caught a 30-yard TD pass.

Dylan Stone completed 5-of-11 passes for 95 yards, while Pace Ozmint and Chance Duncan each had seven tackles.
