All-Etowah County Schools softball released

The head softball coaches from the Etowah County Schools System recently released the 2024 All-County team.
Selected as MVP was Southside senior Peyton Burrell (pictured above at left), who in 47 games batted .500 along with 64 hits, nine doubles, three triples, two home runs, 57 runs and 20 RBI. She helped the Lady Panthers go 29-12-1 and finish third at the Class 5A North Regional Tournament.
Joining Burrell from Southside were senior infielder Ava Ramsey, senior infielder Jovi Marble, junior catcher Bailey Houston, junior pitcher Jalyn Allen and freshman infielder Jasie Brooks.
From Glencoe were senior infielder Abi Bunt, senior catcher Cayse Willett and senior pitcher Summer Crump.
From Hokes Bluff were senior infielder Abby Payne, sophomore catcher Makenna Bennich and freshman pitcher Lacey Grace Hall.
From West End were senior pitcher/infielder Josie Bunch, sophomore infielder Braylee King, junior infielder Liddy Falkner and senior infielder Emma Finch.
From Sardis were senior outfielder AnnahKate Waldrep, junior outfielder Halle Haynes and junior infielder Jordyn Knight.
From Gaston were sophomore pitcher Brylie McCarver, eighth grade pitcher Sidney Fitts and sophomore infielder Mylie Harper.
