Brayley King had three hits in West End’s 11-1 victory over Gaston last Wednesday (Mar. 24). Also for the Lady Patriots (6-0), Corwyn Gillilan and Liddy Faulkner each had two hits. Faulkner struck out five in four innings.

Etowah 14, Boaz 2
Abbi Martin (pictured above), Sydney Simpson and Jaleigh Devine each had two hits and Emma Lowery, Hally Bennett and Kacie Byrd all had two RBI in Etowah 14-2 five-inning win over Boaz last Tuesday (Mar. 23). Simpson earned the win on the mound, striking out six in five innings.

Sardis 9, Glencoe 2
Harlee Vincent and Jayda lacks each had three hits in Sardis’ 9-2 win over Glencoe last Tuesday (Mar. 23). Lily Towns had a pair of hits for the Lady Lions, while she, Lacks and Jalyn Hannah each had two RBI.

Pell City 12, Southside 2
Southside fell to Pell City, 12-2, in Class 6A, Area 13 action last Tuesday (Mar. 23). For the Lady Panthers, Julia Hurley and Macey Herren each went 2-for-3. Hurley had a run scored and Herren had a double and an RBI. Peyton Burrell had a double and two RBI, while

Etowah defeated Gadsden City, 16-0, last Monday (Mar. 22) in Attalla. For the Lady Blue Devils, Anna Jones had three RBI, Emma Lowery had two hits and two RBI; and Abbi Martin had two hits. Winning pitcher Lauren Farmer had six strikeouts in 2.2 innings.

Hokes Bluff 9. Glencoe 3
Savannah Garrett had three hits and four RBI in Hokes Bluff’s 9-3 victory over Glencoe last Monday (March 22). Also for the Lady Eagles, Abby Payne had three hits, Bailee Latronico had two hits and Maddie Wolfe had two RBI. Winning pitcher Kileigh Blackwell struck out six in seven innings.

Sardis 11, Handley 6
Adelyn Ellis contributed two hits and four RBI to Sardis’ 11-6 win over Handley on March 19. Jalyn Hannah and Val Owens each had two hits for the Lady Lions, while Lily Towns had two RBI.
