Blevins puts up big numbers as Westbrook clips Ohatchee

Brody Blevins amassed some impressive numbers in Westbrook Christian’s 48-27 victory over Class 3A Region 6 rival Ohatchee on Friday, Oct. 4 in Rainbow City.
The junior quarterback finished with 386 yards and seven touchdowns on the night. He rushed 33 times for 213 yards and five TDs and was 10-for-18 in passing for 173 yard and another two scores.
The Warriors (4-2, 3-2) led 7-0 after one quarter and went into halftime with a 21-21 tie.
The Indians drew within 28-27 after three quarters before Westbrook scored the game’s final 20 points.
Also for the Warriors, Bo Kilgo had five receptions for 125 yards and touchdown, while Maximus Jones and Brodie Johnson each had two catches. Brodey Wood rushed 14 times for 44 yards. Read Barber was a perfect 6-for-6 on extra points.
Westbrook steps out of region play on Friday, Oct. 11 with a home game against Innovation (Tenn.) Academy. The game’s start time is 6 p.m.
