Conquerors fall to Georgia powerhouse

Coosa Christian opened the season with a 41-7 loss to Pierce County, Ga., on Friday, Aug. 23 in Blackshear, Ga.
For the Conquerors, John Davis Justus was 16 for 31 in passing for 137 yards and a touchdown.
L.J. Mostella had three receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown, while Kylen Johnson caught three passes for 36 yards. Clete O’Bryant, Eli Motes, Dylan Edwards and Kanon Wilson each had two receptions.
O’Bryant had 12 tackles, followed by Cade Mickler with six, Grayson Malone (pictured above at left) with five and Kylen Johnson with four. Johnson also had an interception.
Coosa will remain on the road this week with a visit to Class 6A Pell City.
