Conquerors fall to Spring Garden

Coosa Christian lost to No. 3 Spring Garden, 56-19, in a Class 1A, Region 6 game last Friday (Sept. 30) at SGHS.

After the Conquerors (2-5, 2-1) took a 7-0 lead at 9:16 of the first quarter on Dartavious Britton’s 4-yard touchdown run and Seongsoo Park’s PAT, the Panthers (6-0, 4-0) reeled off 35 straight points
Jace Mills’ 68-yard touchdown pas to Caden Davidson drew Coosa within 35-13 at the 9:21  mark of the third quarter.
The Conquerors rounded out the scoring in the game’s final seconds on Mills’ 22-yard touchdown pass to Evan Delp.
Mills was 8 for 20 in passing for 184 yards, while Davidson had four receptions for 131 yards. Britton rushed 19 times for 59 yards.
Defensively, Teppei Daisaku had 15 tackles, followed by Caiden Lipscomb with nine, Chase Burger with eight and Park with seven. Davison had an interception.
Coosa visits region rival Cedar Bluff this week.
