Etowah blanks Springville in Glover’s debut

The Matt Glover era at Etowah began on a positive note on August 18, as the Class 4A No. 8 Blue Devils pitched a 35-0 shutout over Springville in Attalla.
For Etowah, Trace Thompson was 14 of 22 in passing for 216 yards and two touchdowns. Omareon Finch had six receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown, while Briggs Freeman had four catches for 38 yards. He also rushed for 75 yards on 10 carries.
Etowah travels to Fort Payne on Friday, August 26.
