Etowah, Glencoe, Gaston, Ashville come up short

Etowah fell to Cullman, 42-10, on Oct. 20. As the region’s fourth playoff seed, the Blue Devils (3-6, 3-3) travel to West Morgan on Nov. 10. Etowah hosts crosstown rival Southside this Friday (Nov. 3).

Glencoe lost to Geraldine, 54-7, in the Yellow Jackets’ final Class 3A Region game of the season. The Yellow Jackets (2-7, 0-7) close out the year this Friday (Nov. 3) at home against West End.

Gaston lost to Class 2A Region 6 rival Pleasant Valley, 50-20, on Oct. 27. The Bulldogs (1-8, 0-6) close out the season this Friday (Nov. 3) at home against Brindlee Mountain.

Ashville closed out Class 4A Region 6 play with a 56-7 loss to Cherokee County. The Bulldogs (0-9, 0-6) close out their season this Friday (Nov. 3) at home against Munford.
