Gadsden’s Bill Avery hosting free concert

Gadsden’s “Mr. Southern Soul,” Bill Avery, will host Neighbor’s Day, a free concert, on May 24, at the Mort Glosser Amphitheatre.

Gates will open at 4 p.m., Avery will hold a video shoot at 7 p.m. and the music will begin at 8 p.m.

The Daybreak Band, the Gadsden Line Dancers and the Atlanta Showtime Life Dancers also are scheduled to perform, and DJ Bowtie will be handling “the 1s and 2s.”

The concert is sponsored by the City of Gadsden, Twin City Used Cars, Gadson Men’s Fashion, Bling-N-Things, Shepherd’s Heart LLC and CJ’s Crab Shack.

The Mort Glosser Amphitheatre is located at 90 Walnut Street in Gadsden.
