Sparked by Sally Tinker’s double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds, Glencoe defeated Piedmont, 44-35, in the Class 3A subregionals on Monday (Feb. 9) at PHS.
The Lady Yellow Jackets (18-14) will play either Sand Rock or Plainview at 3 p.m. on Monday (Feb. 16) in the Northeast Regional Tournament semifinals at Jacksonville State.
Maddie Osborne added 10 points for Glencoe, followed by Jessica Rathje with eight and Madison Cole with six.
Cole and Rathje each grabbed four rebounds, while Kaileigh Billingsley had three steals.
Gaston defeated Thorsby, 34-28, in the Class 2A subregional round on Monday at THS.
The Lady Bulldogs face (7-18) face Fyffe at 6 p.m. on Thursday in the Northeast Regional Tournament semifinals at Jacksonville State.
