Glencoe hosts its 12th Celebration in the Park

The City of Glencoe will be celebrating with a splash on Saturday (May 17) as it hosts the 12th annual Celebration in the Park and opens its new splash pad with a ribbon cutting at 12 p.m.

The celebration features live music: Andrea Davis, South Ridge, Vintage Gray and up-and-coming singer Kate Falcon, a student at Southside High School; along with free food, vendors, an antique car and tractor show and bouncy houses for the kids.

Admission is free, and activities start at 10 a.m. with the welcome and the singing of the national anthem.

The new splash pad will  be a welcome addition for Glencoe residents who have missed trips to the Glencoe pool.

It water feature will be open for splashers for the first time after the ribbon cutting on Saturday.

There will be free hot dogs, drinks, cotton candy and ribs, cooked by the Glencoe Business Council.

The entertainment lineup is:

Andrea Davis – 10 – 10:15 a.m.

South Ridge – 10:15 – 12 p.m.

Vintage Gray 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.

Kate Falcon – 2 – 4 p.m.
