Two area high school athletic programs are hosting benefit fundraisers in the near future.
The Glencoe High School softball team will host cornhole tournaments on Friday, Aug. 7 and Saturday, Aug. 8. Both events will be held at Glencoe City Park on the little league baseball field. Friday’s participation fee is $30 per team. Check-in will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the tournament starting at 7:30 p.m. First place will win $100. Saturday’s participation fee is $40 per team. Check-in will begin at 8 a.m. with the tournament starting at 9 a.m. First place will win $200 and second place $100. Tournament is double elimination with three poll games and a blind draw. The Ashville High boys and girls soccer teams will host a cornhole tournament on Sunday, August 9 at 4 p.m. at the football stadium. Entry team is $40 per team. There will be a $300 prize for first place and a $100 prize for second place. To register online, visit ashvilleathletics.com.
