Dillon Tidmore scored a game-high 13 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Glencoe High to a 62-16 stinging of Susan Moore last Tuesday (Dec. 11) in a Class 3A, Area 9 contest at GHS.

The Yellow Jackets (5-3) scored the games first 10 points and went on to take a 24-3 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Scott Bradley had eight points during the game’s first eight minutes, and Glencoe was never really challenged after the Jackets’ opening explosion.

Glencoe head coach Tommy Stanley was pleased with his teams efforts, especially on the boards.

“We rebounded well and Susan Moore got very few second chance shots. We also had balanced scoring with 10 of 11 players scoring. Every player on this team has a role, and we challenge our guys to play hard every night.”

Glencoe increased its lead to 39-6 at halftime and held a 42 lead going into the final quarter at 53-11.

Joseph Fails and Scott Bradley each added eight points and Austin Hancock scored seven.

“We can’t take anyone lightly,” Stanley added. “We have a very competitive area with Cleveland, Susan Moore and Ashville. Ashville is ranked ninth in the state, so everyone is chasing them.”

Glencoe travels to Sardis High School on Friday (Dec. 14).
