Gadsden Regional Medical Center honored physicians on National Doctors’ Day by supporting the Metropolitan Area Noon Nutrition Association. The medical staff chose the nonprofit entity, whose mission is to provide meal delivery service to the elderly, homebound and disabled individuals in the Gadsden Etowah County Area, to receive a $2,500 donation on their behalf.
National Doctors’ Day serves as a moment to honor the dedication, skill and unwavering commitment of physicians in providing quality health care to individuals and communities.
“We are grateful to the physicians on the medical staff for the care they provide to our patients and the difference they make each and every day,” said Michael Hall, Chief Executive Officer of Gadsden Regional Medical Center. “Supporting MANNA is one way of extending their commitment to the entire community.”
The mission of the Metropolitan Area Noon Nutrition Association (MANNA) is to deliver a daily nutritional, diet-specific meal to Etowah County, Alabama residents who are elderly, have special needs, or are homebound, to provide for their physical and emotional well-being and lessen isolation by involving volunteers in community service.
