Harvey Ray “Buster” Gowens, age 77, of Gadsden, Alabama passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 03, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Collier-Butler Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Alan Hallmark will officiate. A private burial will be held at a later date at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. The family will accept friends for visitation on Sunday prior to the service from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at the funeral home.
Buster was a graduate of Southside High School. He enjoyed golfing, auctions and Alabama football. He loved watching his grandson play sports and spending time with friends that were more like family. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Doris Catherine Gowens.
He is survived by Wendy Miller; Shane Gowens, William “Bucky” Gowens, Stacie (Dustin) Holland; grandson Wesley Holland, and his dog and best friend Benz Gowens.
