Jacksonville State senior and 2017 Hokes Bluff High School graduate Tylynn Register closed out her collegiate career with a bronze medal at the ASUN track and field championships on May 14 in Jacksonville, Fla. Register finished third in the 400-mter hurdles event with a career-best time of 1:01.73. A hurdle specialist for most of her college career, the bronze marked Register’s first medal at a conference championship meet.
As a senior at Hoke’s Bluff, Register won gold medals in the triple jump, 100-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles at the Class 4A state track and field meet. She was a four-time MVP of the Etowah County Schools track and field meet.
