Auburn Week 6 recap
The Tigers defeated Ole Miss, 30-22, last Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium behind a solid outing by quarterback Nick Marshall. While he threw for less than 100 yards, Marshall ran for 140 yards and two touchdowns. Robinson Therezie returned an interception for a touchdown and freshman defensive end Carl Lawson recorded two sacks. Auburn improved to 4-1 overall and 2-1 in SEC play. The Tigers face Western Carolina this Saturday.
Alabama Week 6 recap
Alabama easily defeated Georgia State, 45-3, last weekend behind a dominating offensive performance, including a stellar catch from receiver DeAndrew White. The Crimson Tide improved to 5-0 on the season. Alabama travels to Lexington this Saturday take on the Kentucky Wildcats.

Week 7 Previews and Predictions (Week 6: 7-0; Season: 51-6)
Game of the Week
Florida at LSU (-7). Florida’s offense has found a new identity under quar-terback Tyler Murphy. The Gators defeated Arkansas, 30-10, last Saturday. Flo-rida has one of the best defenses in the nation but will be challenged this weekend. Led by quarterback Zach Mettenberger, LSU has a prolific offense for the first time under coach Les Miles. The Tigers defeated Mississippi State, 59-26, a week after scoring 41 points in a loss to Georgia. If the Gators control the clock and force a few three and outs, they have a chance to go into Baton Rouge and notch the upset. If LSU jumps out to an early lead, however, the Gators do not possess the offensive firepower to climb back in the game. Prediction: LSU 34, Florida 17.
Missouri at Georgia (-8). Missouri already has matched last season’s win total. At 5-0, the Tigers are the only undefeated team in the SEC East. Part of their record is due to a relatively easy schedule. Georgia is 4-1 and is coming off of a 34-31 overtime win over Tennessee, but the Bulldogs recently lost several key players to injuries. Keith Marshall, filling in for the injured Todd Gurley at running back, tore his ACL. The Bulldogs have also lost three of their top receivers for the season. Georgia still should beat Missouri, but the Dawgs certainly are on upset watch this Saturday. Prediction: Georgia 41, Missouri 34.
South Carolina at Arkansas (+6). The Gamecocks defeated Kentucky by a touchdown last week, but the bigger story revolved around star defensive end Jadeveon Clowney. Much to the surprise of coach Steve Spurrier, Clowney opted not to play against the Wildcats due to a rib injury. Many have questioned Clowney’s desire to play, but he should be ready for the Razorbacks on Saturday. Bret Bielema is still looking for his first signature win as the Arkansas head coach, and South Carolina might be the perfect candidate this weekend in Fayetteville. Prediction: South Carolina 38, Arkansas 30.
Western Carolina at Auburn (-43.5). The Tigers catch a breather on Saturday before traveling to Texas A&M next weekend. Western Carolina should be no threat to Auburn, and it will be a good chance for Gus Malzahn to rest some injured players and play some youngsters. Prediction: Auburn 52, Western Carolina 6.
Alabama at Kentucky (+27.5). Alabama returns to SEC play this weekend against the struggling Wildcats. Kentucky winless in conference play, although the ‘Cats were competitive with South Carolina last Saturday. With upcoming games against Arkansas and Tennessee, the Crimson Tide has no reason to overlook the Wildcats. Prediction: Alabama 45, Kentucky 13.
Bowling Green at Mississippi State (-10.5). The Bulldogs stayed with LSU last week for over a half, but the Tigers dominated the second half en route to a 59-26 victory. Mississippi State has the opportunity to get back on the right track on Saturday against Bowling Green. Prediction: Mississippi State 45, Bowling Green 19.
Texas A&M at Ole Miss (+6). After back-to-back road losses, Ole Miss returns home to face Texas A&M on Saturday. The Rebels lost to Auburn, 30-22, last weekend. Texas A&M is undefeated on the road under quarterback Johnny Manziel, but the Aggies nearly lost to Ole Miss last year in Oxford. Expect a close, high-scoring game. Prediction: Texas A&M 45, Ole Miss 31.
