Westbrook Christian qualified for its first-ever trip to the state Final Four Tournament with a 2-0 victory over Altamont in the second round of the Class1A-3A state playoffs on Saturday (May 7) in Rainbow City.
The Lady Warriors will play Madison Academy on Thursday (May 12) in Huntsville.
Off an assist from Alexis Beard, Mary Grace Mayfield scored the winning goal against Altamont with less than five minutes to play.
Avery Bane added an insurance goal with less than a minute remaining off an assist by Kylee Berndt.
Defenders Abigail Wright, Barclay Bellew, Sarah Blackstock and Kayleigh Campbell helped goalie Mattie Loyd secure the shutout.
