Local players, coaches to participate in North/South football game

Five local high school seniors and two area coaches were recently selected to participate in the 64th AHSAA North-South All-Star Football Game to be played at Mobile’s Hancock Whitney Stadium on Friday, December 16.
Three players were named from Gadsden City were defensive back Steven Jones (pictured above at left), offensive lineman Aaron Wood and receiver Clyde Curry.
Selected from Etowah and Ashville, respectively, were receiver Omareon Finch and kicker Greyson Simpson.
Etowah head coach Matt Glover and Ashville head coach Shea Monroe were selected as assistant coaches.
