Several local track and field athletes placed in the top 10 at the Holiday Invitational last Saturday (Dec. 11) at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
Westbrook Christian’s Carl Henry earned third place in the shot put with a throw of 49-03.50.
The Gadsden City boys 4×800-meter relay team of Dhruv Patel, Mithun Rameshkumar, Cameron Rolley and Tanner Rice finished fourth with a time of 9:04.78.
The Gadsden City girls team of Emani Morgan, Mariah Ragland, Destiny Whiteside and Kyla Price came in eighth in the 4×200-meter relay at 1:51.60.
Ashville’s Emma Drinkard placed ninth in the girls 400-meter dash at 1:01.47
The Gadsden City girls 4×400-meter relay team of Emani Morgan, Destiny Whiteside, Lashayla Satcher and Kyla Price finished ninth at 4:30.91.
