Locals make Class 4A, All-Region 6 football team

A number of local high school football players were named to the Class 4A, All-Region 6 team.
Making the first team offense were Etowah senior receiver Omareon Finch Etowah senior offensive linemen Bennett Nance and Jaylon Billingsley and Ashville senior quarter-back/safety Dylan Harris (Athlete category).
Selected to the first team defense were Etowah senior defensive end Jacob Sanford, Etowah senior linebacker Tyler Dobbs, Etowah senior safety Andrew Pierce and Ashville senior linebacker Cole Hyatt.
Making the second team offense were Etowah ju-nior quarterback Trace Thompson, Etowah senior offensive lineman Ashton King, Ashville senior running back/linebacker Jalen Williams (Athlete category) and Etowah running back/linebacker Briggs Freeman (Athlete category).
Picked to the second team defense were Etowah senior defensive lineman Perry Byers, Ashville junior defensive lineman Ashton Mostella, Etowah junior linebacker Caleb Freeman, Etowah senior defensive backs Jarvis Hardwick and Dee Spears and Ashville junior linebacker Travis Smith (Athlete category).
Receiving honorable mention recognition were Etowah’s Michael Bostic, Steven Jones, Josh Graham Bear Stevens and Nock Barron and Ashville Skyler Cross, Kain Head, Mason Wilson and Greyson Simpson.
