Manara Jane Posey Morris

Funeral service for Manara Jane Posey Morris, age 87 of Hokes Bluff was held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Glencoe Hokes Bluff Funeral Home. Rev. Rickey Smith officiated. Burial followed at Hokes Bluff Cemetery.

Mrs. Morris passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at her home.

She is preceded in death by her infant son; parents, James Bryson and Jena Will Posey; grandparents, Clyde Ethel and James Talman Posey; aunts, Edith Norris and Willa Condray.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ray Morris; daughters, Jena Louise Reeves, Kim Renee Graham (Jeff “Yancy”), and Toni Rae Morris Haskew (Nathan); son, Troy “Chad” Reeves III; grandchildren, Gavin Graham (Brittany), Canon Haskew, Bayla Rae Haskew, Anna Kate Bentley (Jordan); great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Dixie, and Hyndrix Graham, and Briggs Bentley; brothers, Jerry Posey (Shirley), and Jimmy Posey (Wanda); first cousin, Lynn Norris; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jane attended Hokes Bluff Methodist Church. She is a 1955 graduate of Hokes Bluff High School; she got her secretarial degree from the trade school. She retired from the State of Alabama Department of Human Resources. Jane enjoyed gardening, feeding birds; especially humming birds. She was an amazing cook. She loved animals, especially cats. She loved to travel with her family. Most of all Jane loved serving her family; and cared for several elderly family members in her home. Her remaining family will cherish her memory and miss her dearly.

Pallbearers will be Gavin Graham, Matthew Latham, Will Posey, Cameron Barker, Bryson Barker, and John Martin Williamson.

Family will receive flowers or donations can be made to the Hokes Bluff Methodist Church.

Dr. Tammala, and Wanda Posey for her loving care and guidance.
