Next Tribute Concert Series show is June 5

The next, and second to last, show of the summer Tribute Series of concerts at The Amp is set for June 5.

The series, presented by Sam Boswell Honda, is paying tribute to a few bands and artists and is bringing popular tunes to the ears of Gadsden residents.

The June 5 show — Purple Madness — is a tribute concert to Prince.

“The city has a tradition of holding a Summer Concert Series every year, and we wanted to build on that by bringing in even more artists for people to enjoy,” said Mayor Craig Ford. “We’ve steadily been making improvements to the amphitheater, and this is a great opportunity for families to come enjoy some riverfront fun on a beautiful summer evening.”

Purple Madness: The Ultimate Prince Tribute will be from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m., Thursday at The Amp.

Gates open for all shows at 6 p.m., and the concert starts at 7 p.m.

Purple Madness is a celebration of Prince, one of the most widely beloved and influential artists of all time. Since childhood, Bobby Miller has studied and emulated the personas, voice and dance moves of Prince, and he chose to recreate some of Prince’s most memorable concert moments.

Along with a crew of talented back-up dancers and musicians, Miller presents an electrifying show that can be best described as high energy and a “must see” performance. (Also, don’t be surprised if he shows up on a purple Harley Davidson to kick off the concert.)

The final concert in the series is a tribute to the incredibly popular pop singer Taylor Swift.

Whether you’re a longtime Swiftie or just love a good live show, this concert from Emma Ejwertz will be a night full of energy and all your favorite hits from Taylor Swift throughout all her different eras.

The show will be 6 p.m. – 10 p.m., Saturday, July 19, 2025.

This concert also offers an option to achieve Glam Status and make a memory with a Taylor look-a-like at the Swiftie Snapshot Station.

At the Tuesday, May 27, 2025 meeting of the Gadsden City Council, councilmembers approved an agreement in the amount of $7,500 with Chin Chin Entertainment for the Taylor Swift world tribute concert.

General admission tickets to each concert are $10.

Food trucks will be on site, and some drink options can be pre-purchased at the same time as tickets.
