Nix Receives Honors

Ragland High School assistant football coach Jonathan Nix recently was selected Class 1A Assistant Football Coach of the Year. The Purple Devils finished the 2011 football season at 13-1. Nix is also head softball coach at Ragland, where the Lady Purple Devils have won consecutive state championships. A 1996 graduate of West End High School, Nix played three sports and was a key player on three consecutive undefeated football seasons for the Patriots (1993, 1994 and 1995).
