Panther’ Nails wins two medals at state meet

Southside High junior Hunter Nails captured a pair of gold medals at the AHSAA Class 6A Indoor Track & Field state meet in Birmingham this past weekend. On Feb. 5, Nails won the 800-meter run event with a time of 1:58.51. On Feb. 6, he placed first in the 1600-meter run with a time of 4:26.07. This past November, Nails finished ninth out of 212 participants at the Class 6A state cross country meet.
