Southside closed out Class 5A, Region 7 play on Friday (Oct. 25) with a 42-0 win over Brewer in Somerville.
As the region’s No. 1 seed, the Panthers (9-0, 7-0) host Wenonah on Nov. 8 in the first round of the state playoffs.
Blake Devine scored four touchdowns for Southside, three from scrimmage and one on a punt return. Devine, who rushed three times for 126 yards, had touchdown runs of 20, 45 and 40 yards.
The Panthers close out the regular season on Friday at home against Moody.
