Patriots come up short against Pleasant Valley

West End opened the 2024 football season with a 28-12 loss to Pleasant Valley on Friday, Aug. 23 in Walnut Grove.
The Raiders built a 28-0 lead after three quarters of play before the Patriots got on the scoreboard with a pair of short touchdown runs by quarterback Jaxon Hamby.
Hamby finished with 272 total yards. He rushed for 139 yards on 20 carries and was 8 for 19 in passing for 142 yards.
Eli Williams had four receptions for 105 yards, while Jackson Mayo caught three passes for 26 yards.
West End opens its Class 2A Region 6 schedule this week with a visit to Sand Rock.
