Altoona’s annual spring celebration will turn the clock back 30 years to salute 1984, with guest appearances by actors from two popular shows of the era: Catherine Bach — Daisy Duke of The Dukes of Hazzard, and John Voldstad, the “other brother Darryl’’ from The Bob Newhart Show.
Altoona Day 2014 is Saturday, May 17. The fun will start at 10 a.m. on Sixth Avenue in front of the Exchange Bank and continue until 5 p.m.
There will be food, arts and crafts, bouncy houses, classic cars and more. Performers will be Jo Ann Bullard, Cody Johnson, Mr. Blackwell’s Petty Thieves and The Natchez Trace Band.For more information call 205-589-2311.
