Southside’s Ingram recognized with award at Chamber event

Jacksonville State University student and Southside native Morgan Ingram was recently honored with the Young Fierce Woman Award by the Etowah County Chamber at the Advancing Women to the Top Professional Development Conference on July 18.

The award celebrates young influential women who inspire and encourage rare, courageous efforts while demonstrating excellent character and accomplishments in their community. Ingram’s dedication to service and leadership embodies these qualities, making her a deserving recipient of this prestigious honor.

Ingram is an active member of the Gadsden Service Guild, an organization committed to promoting voluntarism and enhancing the community of Etowah County. Her involvement in the guild highlights her commitment to community service and her passion for making a positive impact.

“I’m truly grateful and humbled to receive the Young Fierce Woman Award, and I’d like to thank the Etowah County Chamber of Commerce for this incredible honor.” As a full-time student at JSU pursuing my bachelor’s in social work, I’m passionate about making a positive impact in my community. I am proud to be a part of organizations such as the Gadsden Service Guild and Gadsden Runners Club, which allow me to give back to the community. My job at Modern Woodmen of America with Morgan Lavender allows me to continue making a difference as well. This award serves as a reminder that we all have the power to create positive change in the world, and I will continue to strive for excellence in everything I do.”
