Many customers seem to be seeking inspiration at The Glass House in Southside, located inside Southside Pharmacy on Ala. 77, and owner Brandi Winningham is happy to oblige.

The gift shop carries gifts to fit every occasion, and a great many of those gifts bear messages and images designed to inspire.

“People love anything with angels,” Winningham said.

From an assortment of angel-related gifts to the more earthy line of Poo-pourri products, The Glass House offers something for everyone.

Winningham said anyone who needs a baby shower, wedding shower or girls birthday party gift can find it at her shop, and she will treat the buyer to free gift-wrapping.

The Glass House carries Webkinz and a popular new line of cute Sassy Kids fashion purses by Douglas. Snoozies slippers are another customer favorite.

This spring the shop will carry daily Bible verse calendars and others items. Winningham said she expects those to be popular items as well, falling into the inspirational category.

Winningham said she carries a line of birthday wish necklaces with inspiring messages.

“People really seem to like to have things that say love, faith, hope or friends,” she said.

The Glass House has plenty of that, and more.

The shop sells indoor/outdoor pillows and some other outdoor items as well: welcome mats, bird feeders, bird houses and other goods for the garden.

Winningham said she’s anxious to be displaying spring items, from spring scarves to Mud Pie totes and bags.
