Thompson, Finch shine in Etowah victory

Junior quarterback Trace Thompson threw for four touchdowns, all to Omareon Finch, as Etowah beat Oneonta, 33-0, in the Blue Devils’ Class 4A, Region 6 opener on September 3.
Thompson (pictured above) completed 16 of 39 passes for 278 yards, while Finch had eight catches for 229 yards.
Briggs Freeman sparked the Etowah rushing game with 154 yards on 29 carries. Perry Byers ran nine times for 46 yards, while Josh Hendrix added 32 yards on seven attempts.
The Blue Devils host Fultondale this Friday (Sept. 10) in region action.
