Gadsden City fell to Carrollton, Ga., 69-7, in the Titans’ season opener on August 19 at GCHS.
Gadsden City’s lone score came with 4:32 left in the game when Kai Franklin and Keyshawn Curry hooked up on a 25-yard touchdown pass.
For the Titans, Matthew Sparks was 13 for 24 in passing for 90 yards. Kalil Hughley had six receptions for 25 yards, while Clyde Curry caught four passes for 24 yards. Isaiah Collins rushed for 37 yards on five carries.
Elijah Taylor, Jackson Veasey and K’Rysiak Yow each had five tackles, while Seven Jones had an interception.
Gadsden City travels to Hewitt-Trussville on Friday, August 26.
