Damon Williams ran for 166 yards and two touchdowns as Gadsden City High defeated Oxford, 41-19, on Friday (Aug. 28) at OHS.

Leading 21-13 at the half, the Titans (1-1) scored 20 points in the third quarter to pull away. Williams ran for scores of 45 and 47 yards, while Rodney Bozeman added TD runs of 2 and 3 yards for Gadsden City.

GCHS quarterback Ahmad DeRamus ran for a 46-yard score and added a 25-yard TD pass to Darnell Moody. DeRamus finished with 109 passing yards and 65 yards rushing.

Gadsden City opens its Class 7A, Region 4 schedule next week at home against Sparkman.
