Dante Rudolph ran for two touchdowns while Ahmad DeRamus passed for two more as Gadsden City defeated Grissom, 42-8 , in a Class 6A, Region 7 game last Thursday (Oct. 17) in Huntsville.

Gadsden City coach Matt Scott said he’s been pleased with his young and inexperienced team’s progress.

“We start five sophomores on offense,” Scott said. “We played really well against Clay-Chalkville (last week).”

In the second quarter, DeRamus threw scoring passes to Denzel Mooney from 34 yards out and tossed another to DaVeunte Blount from the 2.

David Webb kicked five extra points in helping the Titans go up 35-0 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Dazun Lindsey went in from the Grissom 1, and Parker Holland finished the Gadsden City scoring with his kick.

The Titans (4-4, 4-2)  conclude region play on Friday with a visit to Huntsville High.
